DESCRIPTION:Leaving McDonalds at 10:00 am \n\n\n\nWe have had a request to fulfil a lady’s dream to have a ride on a Harley\, wearing a fringed jacket \n\n\n\nGloria\, lost her husband last year and her sister 3 months later. Her family live down South but contacted our Gloria to see what we can do as their mum ( Gloria) lives near Rugby and it’s her 80th birthday The plan is to rock up\, give her a jacket and helmet and Simon will have her as a pillion for a 35 mile circular route\, led by me \n\n\n\nOn return to her house in Bilton her family will have lots of tea \, coffee \, digestives and chocy hob hobs. The Chilly Willy Ride is to raise money for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance. \n\n\n\nWe will meet at McDonalds Towcester from 10:00 for a 10:30 departure where we will take the short ride to Waterside café Bedford Road Northampton This is a one-way ride\, so on arrival we will be in the hands of the organisers of the Chilly Willy Ride. The ride is scheduled to start at 12:00 after an 11:40 briefing and will start and finish at the Waterside café. \n\n\n\nThe ride from McDonalds to Waterside café is weather dependant.

DESCRIPTION:The Jersey “HOGs around the Rock” rally returns in September 2023 following two years of Covid disruption. This event has historically been a biennial event that is targeted at the discerning HOG member who likes a little comfort and the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy a few days in a unique location. Finally\,we are back for 2023!  \n\n\n\nJersey is a small island (9 miles by 5 miles) with around 350 miles of roads and country lanes that are often narrow and winding. Speed is not something that you can push on the island roads but then why would you when you either have lovely sea vistas or countryside to look at. \n\n\n\nWith a population of over 100\,000\, and a vibrant Finance industry\, it means that accommodation is usually very good\, and the restaurants are both plentiful and of superior quality. Being surrounded by the sea means that seafood is a norm\, but those meat eaters can still get their teeth into great steaks. \n\n\n\nThe HOGs around the Rock rally is a boutique event and as such you’ll thoroughly enjoy yourself and get to know everyone that attends. The rally will be based upon riding around the island taking in some of the island’s unique history with several opportunities to visit the extensive German WW2 sites\, a definite “must do” for your diary.  \n\n\n\nWe’re going to fit in an evening ride to enjoy the sunset over the sea\, rides to various historic locations\, a day of riding the lanes to conclude with a ride around the coast of Jersey.
