DESCRIPTION:Departing from Towcester McDonalds at 6pm\n\n\n\nColin will be leading a ride to this year’s Cassington Bike Night on Monday\, 24th June\, leaving McDonald’s (A43) at 6pm.The route is approximately 30 miles there and 45 minutes. Once we arrive in the village we will be in the hands of the organisers\, who will park us where available. When we did this ride a number of years ago we were with a large group of bikes in a park/grass area so you may wish to take something to place under your side stand so as not to dunk into the ground.People can depart when they wish and find their own way home or tag on with me for the return trip. I will probably leave at 9pm and return to Baynard’s Green services where the ride will finish. OX27 7SGThe entire route is approx. 50 miles so I am not planning a fuel stop.

Mike Wakelin leading.\n\n\n\nSo its that time of year again when the inevitable birthday arrives and i would like to celebrate it on a beach in the Caribbean but will have to settle for you lot and the chip shop in Stratford upon Avon.We will meet up at crapdonalds in Towcester at 6.00pm for a pothole strewn ride along Northants finest roads to end up at the riverfront in Stratford. Hopefully by going on a Wednesday not Thursday as advertised we can join in the Stratford bike night and park on the waterfront. Fish and chips are recommended but not compulsory and no\, I aint paying! The ride home will hopefully take in the sunset at the Dasset hills Nr Gaydon and from there you can all bugger off because I live just round the corner.This is a weather dependent ride so keep an eye on here for info!

DESCRIPTION:Leaving from Towcester McDonalds at 09:30am\n\n\n\nI will be leading a ride to join the Milton Keynes Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday 19th May\, leaving McDonald’s Towcester at 09.30 We will arrive at the start point\, Milton Keynes Open University East car park\, Walton Hall\, MK7 6AA for 10.00 (17 miles). Once there we will be in the hands of the local DGR team who will lead us on a 24 mile ride through Aspley Guise\, Cranfield\, Wooton\, Bromham and Clapham and will finish at Brewpoint\, Cut Throat Lane\, Fairhill\, Bedford\, MK41 7FY where the ride will finish and you can make your own way home whenever you please. There will be live music\, food vendors\, photo booths\, a grooming station\, merch stands and much more. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is in aid of promoting (worldwide)\, awareness of prostate cancer and mental health. It is a day to dress (if you wish to)\, in dapper clothing\, tweed\, shirts and ties\, suits\, etc and is open for both men and women. SUMMARY:Iron Horse Rally
DESCRIPTION:Every year in mid May\, tumultuous sounds of V-twins ring out in glorious Filey in North East Yorkshire. The annual St Leger Iron Horse rally has become the early-season destination for getting in a summer party mood. Held at the Blue Dolphin Holiday Park situated on the coast in a spectacular clifftop location\, attendees can take advantage of sumptuous fully fitted self-contained mobile homes or camp on one of the many tent or caravan pitches – most with electric hook up. Food is on offer aplenty in the on-site restaurants\, chippie\, burger bar\, pizza parlour or mini market \n\n\n\nAlways a themed event where everyone is invited to join in\, a full program of ride outs\, events and outstanding entertainment is available. Yorkshire has some of the best uncluttered roads on offer in the UK\, so what better than to “rumble” over them there Yorkshire Wolds on one of our organised ride outs for glorious fish\, chip and peas with bread and butter and a mug of tea?  Saturday night is “Fancy Dress” party night. It is fantastic to see so many hardened Harley-Davidson riders “squeezed into” and nearly “popping out of” very elaborate party costumes. Letting it “all hang out” is certainly the name of the game here without of course getting arrested. DESCRIPTION:On May 8th 2024 I am organising for Northants Fire & Rescue to come to our club night and give a talk about accident management and first responders duties. It covers all aspects of how to respond to an incident involving bikers and general first aid and incident management. Although it’s not a subject we wish to dwell on\, the knowledge handed out by the experienced first responders is vital for those of us who ride in groups. I’m hoping that at least all committee members and road captains will attend but also as many members as possible because\, believe me\, the information is invaluable and life potentially saving.So book the date\, May 8th\, and come along and support the fire and rescue team who do this voluntary for no reward.
